Two weeks ago we had the “Lange Nacht der Forschung” [see Sigi's post, Sebastian's post]. Salzburg Research opened its doors, as several research institutions all over Austria, to demonstrate some current research activity to the public.
There, we asked children to paint “research” or “researcher” – one of our first was Anna, our elder daughter.
She painted her mother’s (=my) workplace: Anna is seven, and a beginner in writing, but her competencies observing the needed requirements of her mother’s work are great: You can see (or can read) that I need: a laptop, a computer, a mouse, a book, a push loading drawer and … a mug!
